Rehema Foundation Tanzania [REFOTA] is Non Governmental Organization and
non profit making ,established since 2022 with registration number OONGO/R/4045,
Act, 2002 made under Section 12 (2) of Act No. 24 of 2002 as it amended 2003. The
organization has its headquarters in Dar es salaam region. Aiming at dealing with
community programs and community project in many aspect especially health programs
like HIV/AIDS, TB, Drug addiction and Gender based violence,
Rehema Foundation Tanzania comprises with professional workers who are ready
to build better productive and future community through eliminating youth population
from using drugs. Also to educate the community on gender based violence and
violence against children.
It has been the philosophy of REFOTA to identify and reaching key vulnerable
population, empower them, educate them on risk behaviors (alcoholism, drug abuse,
sexual activities) and having a unique understanding of the challenges facing
adolescent girls, women, Youth people and communities and how to best mobilize,
engage, and motivate to lead changes. The community outreach workers/peer educator
model is used to mobilize, organize and link key vulnerable populations to access
service providers and ensure that participation of the community is fully fledged and
vulnerable community attain self reliance. It has been successful to meet specific needs
of groups including people living with HIV/AIDS, people with Hepatitis B and C, Drug
addicts, Female Sex Workers, alcoholism and providing education on communicable
and non communicable diseases for healthier generation.

non religion perspectives gender and sex discrimination.

AIM
The major aim of forming REFOTA is to be able to identify and reach key vulnerable
population (KVPs) and communities by educating adolescent girls, women and youth
who use drugs/ injecting drugs empower them with proper information for behavior
change and give them a chance to analyze things positively for sustainable
development.
